We live in a generation where inventions and technology advances on a daily basis. If you close your eyes for a minute, you might actually miss out on some of the coolest invention that have ever been made. and the best one yet is the plane that flies purely on solar energy.
Now how cool is that. although technically it was first thought of in 2012, several test drives have been performed and so far, it has been a success.
The solar powered plane will be a break through for the world at large because it will only run on the most natural source of power, the sun. People may have a question on whether the plane will be able to fly if there is cloud cover. Yes it can, the panel absorbs and stores the energy allowing it to fly even at night.
The solar plane that has been taken for a test drive or is it test flight can only carry two passengers. this may be a disappointment to those who may be interested in flying in one. So far we can only experience the flight through the two pilots who recently took it for a spin.
The aircraft recently landed in Oman and in it was a businessman and pilot Andre Borschberg and Piccard.

The smiles on their faces is evidence that they had enjoyed their flight and are looking forward to the next flight.
