If you havent started watching Empire, you are missing out especially those who love family drama and learning more about how black communities in different classes are said to live. The first time I started watching it, I thought one of the theme song would be
Jay Z and Alicia Keys song Empire New state. The series features Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson as Lucious and Cookie respectively.
There are so many reasons why you should be watching Empire 2015. it has so much drama, intrigue, characters you will grow to love. It has several themes which include love, power and so much more that will get you glued to the screens. For those who havent heard about it, its based on the Lyon family which comprises of Cookie, Lucious, Hakeem, Jamal and Andre. Empire is about a business tycoon who is only left with at most 3 years to live and he want to make one of his son amongst 3 to take over before he dies.the mother of the 3 sons has just been released from prison and she finds her children all grown up and that his family is drowning in wealth.

Lucious' outspoken ex-wife and mother of his three sons, who served a 17-year

Andre
The eldest son of the Lyon family and CFO of Empire Entertainment. He is an educated, power hungry and suffers from bipolar disorder. He plans to run
Empire, but is in a battle for the head chair with his younger brothers.
Jamal
He is the second eldest son but the least favorite son of Lucious because he is gay. He is talented and wants to prove that he can be the next CEO and he seems to be cookies favorite son.
Hakeem
The last son of Lucious and Cookie. he is very talented but very insecure about himself being better that his brother. He loves the company of women and he is even in a relationship with a cougar.
